When to make an Online Police Report

These are the types of incidents you can report online:

Note: The estimated value of loss or damage reported online cannot exceed $1000.00. To report an amount larger than $1000, please contact the appropriate Minneapolis Police Precinct. If you don’t know the precinct, call 311 or use the Police Precinct Finder.

Reporting non-emergencies through Minneapolis 3-1-1.

If you have possible suspect information, the Minneapolis 311 Call Center can take the report by phone for the incident types listed above plus several other non-emergency incidents. See  Reporting Non-emergencies through Minneapolis 311 for details.

TTY/TDD customers call:  (612) 673-2157. If you are outside Minneapolis city limits or unable to reach 311, call (612) 673-3000.

Information needed to submit a police report through 3-1-1 or online

The online police report will ask…

If you want to print a  copy of your report, you must enter a valid email address in the online police report. A copy of the report will be sent to that email address. You can print or save that copy for your records.
