The 2nd Precinct's service area is bounded by the Mississippi River on the west and south, 37 th Avenue NE on the north, and the cities of St. Anthony and St. Paul on the east.
The precinct is divided into a North Sector and a South Sector with Broadway St. NE as the divider.

Precinct Neighborhoods

There are 19 neighborhoods within the Precinct. They include Audubon Park, Beltrami, Bottineau, Columbia, Como, Holland, Logan Park, Marcy Holmes, Marshall Terrace, Mid-City Industrial, Nicollet Island, Northeast Park, Prospect Park, Sheridan, St. Anthony East, St. Anthony West, University of Minnesota, Waite Park and Windom Park.

The 2nd Precinct has one police substation:
