Chief’s Citizens Advisory Council
In 2013, the Chief’s Citizens Advisory Council was formed as a resource to help build a police department that provides exceptional police and public safety services, embraces a culture of respect, reflects the diversity of the people of Minneapolis and is committed to building relationships in the community.
The Chief’s Council includes sworn MPD personnel and individuals from all walks of our community to help address some of the most pressing issues facing the Minneapolis Police Department, specifically around community outreach and engagement; recruitment, hiring and promotions; training and development; and accountability. Positions on the Chief's Council are voluntary and unpaid.
