The mission of MPD's investigative units is to gather and evaluate evidence; take statements from victims, suspects and others; present cases to the Hennepin County Attorney's Office for prosecution; and give expert testimony in those and other cases. Investigators are trained and qualified to dust and lift fingerprints.
