Resolution opposing Flashing Yellow Left-Turn Arrows
The Pedestrian Advisory Committee opposes all flashing yellow left-turn arrows in use and proposed by Hennepin County or the Minnesota Department of Transportation at any intersection. We ask Hennepin County, MnDOT, and the City of Minneapolis to remove existing yellow flashing arrows from all intersections.
Yellow flashing arrows cause confusion, increase driver speed, and are inappropriate in an urban setting because of the risk they create for people walking and rolling.
