46th Street Transportation Study
The Pedestrian Advisory Committee strongly opposes the four-lane option.
We support the two-lane option. The two lane option satisfies current and future motor transportation needs while also creating a safer environment for pedestrians and bikers who are accessing a major transit corridor and a regional park. The PAC recommends tighter corner radii on all major intersections as well as the removal of the right slip lanes, and reduced crossing widths for pedestrians on all legs of each major intersection (Hiawatha and Minnehaha specifically).
