Minneapolis is working to become a Yellow Ribbon City
Minneapolis is on its way to becoming a Yellow Ribbon city, joining other Minnesota cities that are working to build a strong network within their communities to coordinate its resources and better support the needs of local service members, veterans and their families.
Minneapolis is in the process of developing its action plan, which is the key step in becoming a Yellow Ribbon city. This action plan will be developed by folks from across the city, representing nonprofit and civic organizations, social services and medical providers, the business and faith communities, youth organizations, local government, veterans’ organizations and others.
Minneapolis has its Yellow Ribbon action plan event scheduled for April 17, 2013, when key partners will meet to share information and get down to the work of developing a comprehensive action plan. Together, this group will create a robust, well-connected network of services and access points.
