No Snow Emergency today in Minneapolis

As snowfall winds down across the metro, City crews are out plowing and treating the streets to keep them drivable. However, moderate temperatures and sunny weather in the next few days should lead to a relatively quick snow melt on the streets, so Minneapolis is not declaring a Snow Emergency today. Although people will not be required to move their cars for a Snow Emergency, Public Works crews will continue to plow and treat streets with sand and salt through the night and into Thursday.

Spreading the word about Snow Emergencies

The City of Minneapolis uses a number of ways to help folks learn about and follow the Snow Emergency parking rules. We advise drivers to put several of these tools to use, not just one or two. The more ways they have to learn about a Snow Emergency, the less likely they’ll be towed because they didn’t know one was declared.
