Segment of Hiawatha Trail at 24th Street to close for three weeks

Water main work along the Hiawatha Trail will require that this popular bike trail to be closed for at least three weeks beginning approximately Monday, Oct. 25. The water main work is necessitated by the new Metro Transit maintenance facility to the east of the trail, between 24th and 26th streets.

During the closure, the following detour is recommended:

th Street, and then take a right onto the new bike lanes on Minnehaha and continue south to the Greenway.

Northbound: Bicyclists coming across the Sabo bridge from the west should continue to Minnehaha Avenue and take a left. Bicyclists coming from the east should take a right on Minnehaha Avenue and then take a left on 24th Street and then make a right onto the Hiawatha trail.
