Take a fire safety quiz and help Minneapolis’ fire-education and outreach efforts

Test your fire safety knowledge, and help the Minneapolis Fire Department at the same time by taking an online fire safety quiz.  The quiz, sponsored by Liberty Mutual’s "Be Fire Smart" fire safety resource center, will reward the departments with the most quiz-takers with a $10,000 grant to support their fire-education and prevention outreach efforts. Fire education is essential to fire prevention and for preventing fire-related injuries and death.

To take the quiz, go to www.befiresmart.com   and click on ‘get started’ in the "Fire Safety Pledge Program" portal.  As you take the quiz, be sure to list Minneapolis Fire Department as your local fire department!  Although a name, e-mail, zip code, and telephone number are required to submit the quiz, this information will NOT be used to solicit Liberty Mutual Insurance.  It will be used to notify participants of the department winners.

The Fire Safety Pledge Program quiz is open through Oct. 31, 2010. The fire departments of the top 10 communities that take the Fire Safety Pledge quiz will receive $10,000 to support fire-education and prevention outreach efforts.
