Minneapolis hosts property management workshop
The City of Minneapolis is holding a property management workshop to help rental property owners get useful information and connections to resources on property management. The Minneapolis Police Department and Minneapolis Housing Inspections work together to present the workshop, which can help new rental property owners, as well as long-time rental owners.
The workshop will be held Thursday, Oct. 22, from 5-9 p.m. at St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church, 3450 Irving Ave. S.
Interested property owners should RSVP by Thursday, October 15. To get a registration form, e-mail email@example.com or call the message line at (612) 673-2812. There is a $20 registration fee, which covers the costs for all printed materials, a box meal and a DVD on Hennepin County Housing Court. After October 15, the registration fee is $30.
Workshop topics will include:
- The ABCs of property management
- Working with the Minneapolis Police Department
- Working with Housing Inspections
- Tenant behavior issues
- The risk of lead poisoning
- Hennepin County Housing Court
- Networking opportunities
Owners who participate in this training will learn ways to help keep their properties free of drug dealing and other illegal activity.
