Minneapolis metro area ranks among the best in the nation

Minneapolis ranked eighth in a Outside Magazine survey of the nation’s 100 largest cities. The magazine surveyed the cities on the overall health of an area, exploring cultural vibrancy, economic well-being, and overall quality of life. Minneapolis ranked high in the survey because of its thriving music scene, impressive international cuisine, its farmers markets, cost-of-living, employment opportunities, strong economy, and year-round outdoor recreation.

Duluth, Minn. is the only other Minnesota city to rank in Outside’s Best Towns survey since its inception in 2004.
