Minneapolis named ‘happiest place for families’
Minneapolis is the happiest city to raise a family, according to a national survey conducted by Sperling’s BestPlaces, an Oregon-based company that researches data to rate people and places. Minneapolis ranked at the top of the 50 largest metro areas in the nation in the "Happiest Cities for Families" survey. Sperling’s examined the metro areas using family-fun criteria such as the number of social activities, recreational resources and household expenditures on fun activities.
Following Minneapolis were the Atlanta, Virginia Beach, Washington, DC, Portland, Ore., Denver, Baltimore, Seattle, Kansas City, Mo., and Austin, Texas. The Sperling BestPlaces survey was commissioned by McDonald’s Corporation.
