Today's tip: Clean out your computer’s cache

If your computer is a bit sluggish moving from one website to another, it’s a good idea to clean out the cache.

As you open websites, your browser is saving web pages you’ve visited in a file on your hard drive. This is done to increase the speed at which your browser opens that same site again; however, web access can eventually slow if web sources have changed or the cache file becomes very full. When that happens, your web access is slowed and it’s time to delete all those old web pages and free up cache space.

Five steps to clear your cache:

Step 1: Open Internet Explorer
Step 2: Click on Tools
Step 3: Click on Internet Options
Step 4: Click the Delete button under Browsing history.
Step 5: Delete Temporary Internet Files and Cookies
