Metered parking added in front of City Hall on Fourth Street
New metered parking spots have been added to the Fourth Street side of City Hall. City employees and visitors planning to use any of the 10 metered spaces must use the pay station. The metered spaces have a one-hour time limit, and all rules and regulations for metered parking apply. The meter is enforced 24 hours a day, every day. City employees and visitors are asked to observe the time limit to ensure short term parking is available for those who need it.
The block retains two handicapped parking spaces as well as the handicapped transfer zone, which do not require any payment.
As with all metered spaces throughout Minneapolis, delivery trucks may load and unload in the spaces without paying until noon each day.
The multi-space parking meter pay station accepts debit cards, credit cards and quarters and dollar coins. (Pennies, nickels and dimes do not add time to the meter.) If you arent sure how to use the new electronic pay station, visit http://www.mplsparking.com/includes/Multi-space%20meters.pdf
