Six weeks remain before My Health Rewards deadline
Six weeks remain before the deadline for interested City employees to complete the health assessment, eight health topics and goals, and (if invited) at least two phone calls with a Medica health coach, through the My Health Rewards by Medica program.
Employees who complete all of these steps on or before Aug. 31 will qualify for 2012 health plan premiums that are about $350 (single) or $1,100 (family) lower per year than if they had not completed the program.
What is a health topic?
A health topic is an educational module that is available online at mymedica.com’s Health & Wellness tab and in paper form.
Health topics focus on a wide variety of health issues. Mymedica.com suggests health topics for you based on your answers to the health assessment. Each health topic takes about 5-10 minutes to review. At the end of each topic, you’ll have an opportunity to set goals for yourself and then keep track of your progress against those goals.
Mymedica.com has more than 200 health topics from which to choose, including:
- Spice Up Food Without the Salt.
- What Causes High Cholesterol?
- What Does It Mean to Be Active?
- Your Health Care Team.
