Tornado recovery website debuts

Since May 22 when a tornado struck the North Side, the City has been distributing information to the news media and posting information on the City’s website about the City’s response to the tornado and the resources available to help people get back on their feet.

While that information has all been available in a central location on the City’s public website, BIS and the Communications Department have partnered to create a more lasting presence on the Web as efforts shift to long-term recovery. The new site still provides the latest news and information, but it’s now organized in a way that makes it easier for people to find the resources available to them given their personal situation.
