Toastmasters Clubs help participants hone speaking skills

City Hall has two Toastmasters clubs, and both welcome new participants.

The Russell H. Conwell Toastmasters group meets on Wednesdays at 7:15 a.m. in Room 319 of Minneapolis City Hall. For more information about this group, contact Jim Schneider at sectreas@russellhconwell.freetoasthost.biz or (952) 835-3928.

The Roller Toasters Toastmasters club meets on Fridays at 7:30 a.m. in Room 333 of Minneapolis City Hall. For more information, contact Greg Frank at gregory.frank@co.hennepin.mn.us or (612) 348-4114.

Toastmasters is a "learn by doing" program where participants practice meeting and speaking skills (giving a prepared or impromptu speech, or serving as timer, evaluator or grammarian). The goal is to provide a supportive and positive learning environment so that every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills.
