Since the devastating tornado struck north Minneapolis on May 22, thousands of volunteers, nonprofits, church groups, businesses and government agencies have pitched in to help folks recover and rebuild. One key piece of the cleanup is to get rid of the storm-related debris that the tornado left in its path.
The Clean Sweeps are the result of a collaboration of north Minneapolis neighborhoods with the support of the Pohlad Family Foundation, working with City Departments including Public Works Solid Waste & Recycling, Emergency Preparedness, and the Neighborhood and Community Relations Department.
