Hiring City employees is about to get a lot easier.

This fall, Human Resources will launch Minneapolis Works, a new online hiring system. Modernizing the City’s hiring software is part of an overall project to upgrade the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Minneapolis Works automates the City’s entire hiring and selection process:

That means a lot less paperwork for hiring managers and human resources staff. It means no more paper stacks of applications and resumes. It also automates new hires into other City systems, saving you data entry.

Minneapolis Works uses NEOGOV, the nation’s market leader in public sector hiring software. More than 1,000 public sector agencies nationwide use NEOGOV, including Hennepin and Ramsey counties and the cities of Saint Paul, Bloomington, Rochester and Mankato.

This new hiring system ensures the City always has the most recent technology. Upgrades and enhancements to the system occur automatically every three months.

Folks who work for the City and who want to work for the City will see numerous improvements once Minneapolis Works goes live this fall.
