Thank you for attending the 2014 Community Connections Conference
Last month more than 500 community leaders, residents, elected officials and City staff attended the second Community Connections Conference. The theme of the day was Common Ground: A City That Works for All.
The conference brought participants together to share best practices for neighborhood engagement. The event featured a keynote address by Dr. Verna C. Price, 50 exhibitors and 40 workshops. Conference workshops were organized around four themes:
- Making the city work for me: Helping residents better understand and influence city government.
- Thinking bigger: Collaborations will get you there.
- Finding common ground: Gathering diverse communities around the table to share common goals.
- Running an effective organization: Managing your work, finances and communications.
A conference report will be available later this spring. The report will include results from the post-conference survey and overall registration data. It will be used to plan the 2015 Community Connections Conference. Visit the Community Connections Conference Web page for more details.
