Don’t miss this opportunity to network with other departments as well as groups outside the City at the free Community Connections Conference. The conference is specifically designed to bring together City departments, neighborhood organizations, cultural communities, nonprofit organizations and residents to share best practices for neighborhood engagement.
This year’s conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, March 22, at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The conference theme is Common Ground: A City That Works for All. The event will focus on helping attendees:
· Hone their organizational and communication skills
· Learn how to better work with and influence City government
· Build broad-based efforts that involve all segments of increasingly diverse neighborhoods and the community at large
The conference includes a keynote address by Dr. Verna Cornelia Price, more than 35 workshops and a post-conference social gathering. To register, please visit the conference website.
The Community Connections Conference is planned by representatives from neighborhood organizations, the Neighborhood and Community Engagement Commission (NCEC) and City staff.
