Watch for notice about the health insurance rate you qualify for in 2014

Open enrollment — the time of year when employees re-enroll in their current health plan or make changes to their benefit selections — is one month away.

During the week of Oct. 14, Medica will mail employees a postcard reminding them about the health insurance premium rate they qualify for. (Your rate depends on whether you completed Medica’s My Health Rewards program by the Aug. 31 deadline. Employees who completed the health and wellness activities will pay the lower wellness premium for their 2014 health insurance.)

During the week of Oct. 28, a packet of information detailing open enrollment benefit choices will be mailed to all employees’ homes.

Open enrollment runs from Nov. 1–22, and health insurance plan changes take effect Jan. 1, 2014. To learn about the plan changes, visit the Employee Benefits website.
