Meeting will outline STEP-UP internship benefits and responsibilities

Once again, the City will be hiring STEP-UP interns this summer. If your department is thinking about employing one of these high school students, be sure to attend the upcoming informational meeting.

STEP-UP is Minneapolis’ largest youth job training program and offers students an opportunity to earn a paycheck, learn practical job and life skills, and get a glimpse of career options. Students participating in the STEP-UP program go through a competitive application process and complete a rigorous work readiness training program.

Meeting attendees will hear from City employees who have successfully employed interns in past years. The session will outline what kind of tasks interns can perform and how the internship matching and placement process works.
