Upcoming events at the Minneapolis Convention Center

The Minneapolis Convention Center is a City-owned, state-of-the-art facility that hosts more than 500 events annually, drawing nearly a million attendees each year. Here are two events that will be held at the Convention Center in December.

North Star Roller Girls Roller Derby

The Convention Center is home to the Northstar Roller Girls, an all-female skater-owned and operated amateur roller derby league that plays Women's Flat Track Derby. The North Star Roller Girls League is comprised of four teams: the Banger Sisters, Delta Delta Di, Kilmore Girls, and the Violent Femmes.

Admission
Trackside seating: $15 - advance / $17 - game day
Chair seating: $13 - advance / $15 - game day
Bleacher/standing: $12 – advance / $14 – game day
Kids ages 9 and under – free with an adult

Project Homeless Connect

The Convention Center will host Project Homeless Connect on Monday, Dec. 10. This is a one-day, one-stop shop that delivers real services to people experiencing real homelessness in our community. It brings together faith communities, government, businesses, neighborhood groups, service providers and consumers to develop new and creative ways to end homelessness.

Homeless men, women, children and youth are welcomed for a variety of resources, such as housing providers, employment specialists, medical care, mental health care, benefits specialists, eye doctors, haircuts, transportation assistance, food and clothing.
