Noontime yoga, Pilates and workout classes offered
If you’d like to reduce stress and increase your flexibility and strength, consider participating in one of the Downtown noontime fitness classes that begin the week of Sept. 17.
Zumba
Zumba is a cardio and calorie-burning workout done to Latin and international dance moves. Zumba classes are offered on Mondays from 12:10 to 12:55 p.m. in Suite 806 of the Grain Exchange, 400 S. 4th St. Zumba is also offered on Fridays from 11:20 to noon in the Hennepin County Government Center (Employee Development Classroom).
Yoga
Yoga improves flexibility, core strength and releases stress. Yoga classes are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:10 to 12:55 p.m. in Suite 806 of the Grain Exchange. (Yoga is also offered from 5 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays in Suite 605 of the IDS Center.)
Pilates
Pilates strengthens your core, improves your posture, tones your body and relaxes you. Pilates classes are offered on Wednesdays from 12:10 to 12:55 p.m. in Suite 806 of the Grain Exchange.
Total Workout
The Total Workout includes cardio and strength training for stomach, legs, back and arms strengthen to tone your muscles. Total Workout classes are offered from 12:10 to 12:55 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in Suite 605 of the IDS Center.
How to register
New participants who register by Sept. 14 will receive $3 off the registration fee. To register, call Fit to Live at 612-722-6571 or email linda.simon@usfamily.net.
Zumba and Total Workout classes are six classes for $45. Lunchtime Yoga and Pilates classes are six classes for $60. Evening yoga classes are six classes for $72. If eight people register for yoga, there is a $3 discount; if 10 people register there is a $6 discount.
Any missed classes can be made up in other Fit to Live classes. Fees will be prorated if you join after a six-week session has begun.
