Nutrition workshops full; registration has closed
Nutrition has proved to be a popular topic among employees. All workshops are full and, as a result, registration has closed. If you registered for a workshop and now find that you won’t be able to attend, please take a few minutes to log onto HRIS and officially withdraw from the class. That way, someone on the waiting list can be invited to attend the class.
Because the workshops generated so much interest, City staff members are exploring the option of offering the workshops again. Watch this newsletter and CityTalk for announcements on upcoming classes.
These are the five workshops that were organized by City’s Wellness Committee:
- Five Steps to Boost Metabolism
- Lights Out for Better Health
- Stress-Busting Foods
- Eating Fast Without Fast Food
- Change Your Nutrition to Reduce Aches & Pains.
All classes are being taught by nutrition educators from Nutritional Weight and Wellness, a Twin Cities organization dedicated to educating people on health and nutrition. This organization hosts a live radio program on nutrition topics on Saturdays from 8 to 9 a.m. on FM107.1. (The program is also rebroadcast at 6 p.m. on Sundays.)
