Public Works to honor its highest performing employees March 20

Each month, Public Works employees have the opportunity to recognize a coworker for exceptional work or service to the public. At the conclusion of the year, these monthly award recipients are then considered for one of Public Work’s annual High Performing Employee Awards.

This year’s annual award presentation is Tuesday, March 20. On that date, the department will present its 2011 year-end awards for customer service, safety, leadership, innovation or outstanding performance. Awards can be presented to individuals or to teams of employees who worked on a particular project.

Since the award program’s inception in 2005, this program has honored 475 Public Works employees for outstanding work.

Listed alphabetically below are the employees who have been honored with a monthly recognition award sometime during 2011 and are now under consideration for the 2011 year-end award. (Watch the March 28 issue of Minneapolis Matters for the winners of the annual award as well as a description of all the monthly award winners’ contributions.)
