Nearly 450 attend first Community Connections Conference
Nearly 450 people attended the first-ever Community Connections Conference hosted by the Neighborhood and Community Relations Department. The Feb. 11 event focused on building diversity, sharing best practices and success stories, and increasing participation in neighborhood organizations and communities.
Department staff are compiling a report that will feature statistics, feedback and next steps. The report be posted on the Neighborhood and Community Relations website and emailed to conference attendees.
The conference featured workshops on topics such as bridging the digital divide, reducing waste at local events, social justice, neighborhood safety and collaborating with City departments.
