City lifting Winter Parking Restrictions 10 a.m. tomorrow, March 22
The City of Minneapolis is lifting Winter Parking Restrictions effective 10 a.m. tomorrow, March 22.
The City implemented Winter Parking Restrictions Feb. 27 after significant snow accumulation had narrowed city streets, making access difficult for emergency vehicles. Limiting parking to one side of most neighborhood streets created more reliable access for emergency responses.
Milder weather has allowed the snow pack to melt, returning streets to more normal conditions. Beginning 10 a.m. tomorrow, normal parking rules will apply on city streets. As always, drivers should continue to follow rules on any posted parking signs.
Although the Winter Parking Restrictions are being lifted, it is still possible to have additional Snow Emergencies. Sign up for alerts to stay informed of the parking rules at minneapolismn.gov/snow.
