Screenings for sexually transmitted infections April 25

Young people ages 13-26 can get low-cost, confidential screenings for sexually transmitted infections Wednesday, April 25. Teens and young adults are most at risk for getting sexually transmitted infections, and not knowing spreads it.

Last year more than 28,000 cases of sexually transmitted infections were reported in Minnesota.

CRUSH (Community Restoring Urban Youth Sexual Health) is a partnership of youth-serving organizations, government entities and community members formed in mid-2013 to address the increasing rates of chlamydia infections among teens and young adults in our community.

As part of STI Awareness month, CRUSH, in partnership with the City of Minneapolis Health Department and Minnesota Department of Health, is sponsoring STI Testing Day.

People can register and get more information for the screenings here or at the Minnesota Family Planning and STD Hotline at 1-800-78FACTS.
