Plan ahead and use transit or rideshare to get to downtown Minneapolis Super Bowl Sunday

Thousands of people will converge on downtown

Visitors and residents heading downtown to enjoy Super Bowl festivities still have time to plan transit routes or rideshares.

Event officials expect major congestion in downtown Minneapolis with increased vehicle volumes and road closures near U.S. Bank Stadium. Arrive early or leave late to avoid congestion. Also, build in extra time for travel.

Free Metro Transit bus service will be available along the Blue and Green Line routes for those that want to come downtown and do not have tickets to the game. The free replacement buses will be available along the entire Blue Line and between Stadium Village and Target Field Stations on the Green Line. Bus boarding locations are available here:

Metro Transit ambassadors will also be available throughout the transit system to help customers get where they need to go on game day.

Super Bowl ticket holders can get to U.S. Bank Stadium tomorrow by buying a Game Day Fan Express Pass on the Metro Transit app, and can board at either the Mall of America or Stadium Village. Details here:

Many other bus routes travel to downtown Minneapolis from around the metro. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner at, or call a transit planning expert at 612-373-3333.
