Feb. 3 and 4 street closings near U.S. Bank Stadium for Super Bowl

 Two additional street closures near U.S. Bank Stadium go into effect Feb. 3 and 4.

If possible, motorists should avoid the U.S. Bank Stadium area to avoid congestion. All closures will remain in place until after the Super Bowl. Most streets will re-open Feb. 4 or Feb. 5, but some closures will remain in effect until mid-February. Refer to the map below for specific dates. In addition to the above closures, after 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, the following streets will close:

Some Metro Transit bus routes will be detoured because of these road closures. METRO Blue and Green line trains will remain open to riders Friday and Saturday, Feb. 2 and 3, but will not stop at the U.S. Bank Stadium Station beginning 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2. Buses will replace light rail trains on portions of the METRO Blue and Green lines on game day, Sunday, Feb. 4. Find details at metrotransit.org/superbowl. Due to these closures and congestion, all modes of transportation, including bicyclists and pedestrians, will be impacted. Everyone is encouraged to plan ahead, know your route and options and plan for additional time.

Over the past several months, the City of Minneapolis has worked closely with the community and other stakeholders, including the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee, the NFL, their vendors and several other local partners to create a traffic management plan that will support the Super Bowl LII experience while providing minimal disruptions to traffic and parking.
