Input needed in resilience survey

The City of Minneapolis is developing a resilience strategy to better prepare for, withstand and bounce back from today’s biggest challenges such as housing challenges, aging infrastructure, natural disasters, racial inequities and a changing climate. Part of developing the strategy involves understanding the challenges we face, both as shocks and as ongoing stresses. Residents are encouraged to weigh in by taking a new survey.

The survey is part of Minneapolis’ resilience scan, the first stage of developing a resilience strategy that also includes community engagement and research. This scan will give staff and community members a better understanding of the city’s current state of resilience. The results of the survey and other research will help frame the focus of the next phase of strategy development, which will happen in 2018.

The survey is available online through Jan. 19 in four languages.
