Oct. 23 Prince-inspired arts and music fair, benefit concert with Sheila E.

A music and arts fair at Orchestra Hall Sunday, Oct. 23, will be followed by a benefit concert with Sheila E. featuring legendary percussionist Pete Escovedo, dancers Mayte Garcia and Maya and Nandy McClean; and members of New Power Generation (NPG) along with youth musicians from the Twin Cities.

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Purple Philanthropy fund administered by Twin Cities Mobile Jazz Project. Organizations that Prince supported in the past will be able to apply for grant funding to honor his legacy by continuing the programs Prince knew would make a difference in transforming the lives of the young people living in poverty.

Find more information and tickets to the concert at www.purplephilanthropy.com.

The City of Minneapolis is one of the event sponsors.
