Public meeting will provide update on Nicollet Mall redesign project 

Get the latest information on the Nicollet Mall redesign project at a public meeting Wednesday, Feb. 10. The City of Minneapolis, Minneapolis Downtown Council and James Corner Field Operations (JCFO) will provide a project update that includes modifications to the design and a revised construction timeline. After the presentation, representatives from JCFO, the City of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Downtown Council will be on hand to answer questions.

Since the 1880s, Nicollet Mall has been a retail and business hub for Minneapolis. Over the years, the mall has been through two major renovations – in 1968 and in the 1980s. Today the space is home to events such as the Nicollet Mall Farmers Market, and it is used by 130,000 Minnesotans daily. The City and the Minneapolis Downtown Council are in the process of redesigning the mall to make it an even better destination and a more powerful economic engine for the region and the state.
