Public hearing on Southwest light-rail line Aug. 19
There is one more public hearing coming up for people to comment on the revised Southwest Light Rail Transit project. Following this hearing, the Minneapolis City Council will vote on municipal consent for the project at a later date.

The Southwest light-rail line would connect downtown Minneapolis and Eden Prairie. Plans call for 17 stations, including five stations in Minneapolis.
The hearings are opportunities for the public to comment on the Southwest light-rail line, as recommended by the Metropolitan Council, including plans that were revised as a result of a tentative agreement between the City of Minneapolis and the Metropolitan Council. Details on the tentative agreement and be found in the joint announcement made by the two government agencies.
