Minneapolis named one of the top dog-friendly cities in the U.S.

Minneapolis was recently named one of the top 5 dog friendliest cities in the country, according to Dog Fancy magazine.

The magazine recognized Minneapolis for its wealth of dog parks, many miles of paved paths and dog-friendly trails, and being a city with lots of fun activities for dogs and their owners.

Minneapolis Animal Care & Control was also recognized for its successful adoption rates, its program to offer low-cost spay-neuter services thanks to a partnership with MNSNAP, and for being the only municipal shelter in the state offering no-cost kenneling for pets of victims of domestic abuse.
