Minneapolis Arts Commission

 1.  Statue Donation:
      Accept by Resolution gift of Statue of General Emiliano Zapata from Government of the State of Morelos, Mexico. (Refer to W&M/Budget)

      Staff report:  Statue Donation RCA; Statue Attachments
      Action Taken:  Approved.  Staff Report amended to delete language under the "Consistency with Current City Plans" section.

Set Public Hearing

 2.  City Planning Commission:
      Set public hearing for the June 7, 2012 Committee meeting to consider the reappointment of Lauren Huynh to the Planning Commission.

      Staff Report:  None.
      Action Taken:  Public hearing set for June 7th meeting.

 3.  Dock Street Apartments, 333 Washington Ave N and 328 4th St N:
     Appeal filed by Richard P. Johnson with Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority, along with the Minnesota Department of Transportation, from the decision of the Planning Commission granting applications for a conditional use permit and site plan review for a new Planned Unit Development including 185 dwelling units and 3,300 square feet of ground floor commercial space (Ward 7).

      Action Taken:  Sent forward to City Council without recommendation.

 4.  Pillsbury A-Mill Project, 301 Main St SE:
      Appeal filed by Kathleen Flynn Peterson from the decision of the Planning Commission granting applications for a conditional use permit, variances and site plan review for a 255 unit planned unit development at 100 3rd Ave SE, 300 2nd St SE, and 400 2nd St SE (Ward 3).

      Action Taken:  Appeal denied; additional conditions approved for the site plan for the conditional use permit for a planned unit development.

 5.  Peavey Plaza, 1101 Nicollet Mall:
      Appeal filed by Steven Kotke, on behalf of the City of Minneapolis Public Works Department, from the decision of the Heritage Preservation Commission denying the demolition of Historic Resource Application for Peavey Plaza.

      Action Taken:  Appeal granted.  Staff directed to prepare findings of fact in support of the Committee's decision.
