1. Adding a new Chapter 351 to the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, requiring all Short-Term Rental Service Hosting Platforms to obtain a Minneapolis business license.
2. Amending Chapter 244 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, adding requirements for Short-Term Rental Property Owners.

False Alarm Online Payments Coming Soon
Effective September 7, 2017 you can pay false alarm fees electronically using the city's new false alarm software.
New Tobacco Ordinance
Effective August 1, 2018, the sale of menthol, mint and wintergreen tobacco products is restricted to Exclusive Tobacco Dealers and Off Sale Liquor Stores that prohibit any one under the age of 21 from their establishment without a parent or guardian.
