Public Computer Availability: Among the 1,752 computers available in Minneapolis community technology centers (computer labs), only a portion of them are available to the general public, and availability during evenings and weekends drops dramatically.

Community Technology Position Opening  Apply or help spread the word about IT's AmeriCorps position through the Community Technology Empowerment Project (CTEP).  See the position description and program overview for details.

The service term starts Sept 3, 2013 and completes Aug 31, 2014. All positions are full-time.  Benefits: All members receive a living allowance (approximately $900 a month), an education award of $5,550 (upon successful completion), health and dental insurance plan including reimbursement of deductible charge, child care (depending on qualifications) and ongoing training. The education award can be used to pay educational expenses at qualified institutions of higher education, for educational training, or to repay qualified student loans. AmeriCorps Members have up to seven years after their term of service has ended to claim the award.
