Budget Process Calendar
Mayor Betsy Hodges will present the 2015 recommended budget to the City Council by August 15, 2014. The Council will consider the budget from September through December. Final approval of the 2015 budget is scheduled for Wednesday, December 10, 2014.
The City of Minneapolis has tentatively scheduled two public comment hearings on the proposed 2015 property tax levy and budget:

Adopt 2015 Property Tax Levies (Immediately following Council budget adoption)
If layoffs are recommended, the Mayor needs to call a special City Council meeting requesting action to provide preliminary approval of the budget.
