Purpose
The Elections Committee receives information and considers items relating to elections in the City of Minneapolis for the purpose of providing recommendations to the CIty Council, including determining opening and closing dates for candidate filing, designating precinct boundaries and polling places, and appointing election judges.
After municipal elections, the election returns are canvassed by this committee.
