2014 City of Minneapolis Urban Scholars Application Period Now Open
Urban Scholars is a leadership development summer internship that runs from May 27, 2014 to August 15, 2014. This year, City of Minneapolis Urban Scholars is partnering with Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS), Metropolitan Council, and Greater Twin Cities United Way. If you are interested in applying to either MPS Urban Scholars, Metropolitan Council Urban Scholars, or Greater Twin Cities United Way Urban Scholars; note the following:

The application deadline has been extended to Friday March 14, 2014. Please read this section in its entirety prior to submitting your application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Develop a resume that includes your education, work history, accomplishments (i.e. honors, awards, etc.), and technical skills.
Obtain and scan an unofficial transcript labeled with your student information (i.e. name, major, etc.) to your computer. You will need to upload this document to the application.
Develop a 1-2 page, 1.5 spaced, cover letter addressed to the "Urban Scholars Team" answering the following questions:
- Why do you want to be an Urban Scholar?
- Describe a time when you held a leadership role and how you may have influenced others to follow your strategic vision.
- What are your career goals?
- If you were a previous Urban Scholar, what did you learn from your experience and what do you hope to gain from this upcoming session?
