Bicycle Registration

Register your bicycle with the new Minneapolis Bicycle Registration database.

In an effort to track stolen bicycles that are recovered, the City has announced a new Bicycle Registration Program. Bicycles that are registered have a much greater chance of being returned to you if they are lost or stolen and then recovered. Bicycles that are not registered have a limited chance of being returned to you if they are recovered.

There are many reasons why it’s important to register your bicycle:

You can register their bicycles online or by calling 311. You simply need to provide your contact information, bike serial number (located on bottom of crank shaft or on the fork supporting the handle bars), and other basic bicycle information. You only need to register once (not annually like some programs) unless you need to update contact information or bicycle details, in which case you would need to re-register their bicycle.
