What sort of trips do you take by bicycle?

I bike to and from work. I also bike into St. Paul and Edina from time to time.

How often do you bike?

Almost every day of the week.

How long have you been riding your bike?

I started riding when I was a kid and am still biking as an adult. So at least 13 years.

What keeps you pedaling?

I don't have a driver’s license - I don't have the money for a car and I don't want to deal with the cost of gas.

What kind of bike do you ride?

A GT ricochet - it's a 21 speed and is really fast.

Where is your favorite place to ride?

The Midtown Greenway - it's what gets me to work almost everyday.

How do you stay safe when you ride?

First of all, I wear a helmet. I also have a front and back light on my bike and I also stop at stoplights and stop signs.

Do you have a shining moment with a motorist, or something you really appreciate from motorists?

As long as they don't push me off the road, I'm fine with them.

What are your pet peeves, either from motorists or other cyclists?

I hate when cyclists break the rules of the ride (running stop signs and lights). As for the motorists, honking their horns and forcing you to the side of the road is not fun.

What is the most unusual thing you do on your bike?

I like to go really fast. The fastest I've gotten my bike to go is 33 miles per hour. It's also fun to pass motorists on your bike.
