Minneapolis City offices closed Labor Day

All Minneapolis City government offices, including Minneapolis 311 and the Minneapolis Service Center at 505 Fourth. Ave. S., are closed Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of Labor Day. City offices will resume regular business hours on Tuesday following the holiday.

There will be no City of Minneapolis garbage and recycling pickup Sept. 5. Households’ garbage and recycling pickups scheduled for Sept. 5 through Sept. 9 occur one day later (Tuesday through Saturday) than their normal schedule. In addition, the Solid Waste & Recycling customer service office is closed Labor Day.

The City's parking meters are not enforced Sept. 5. Other metered parking restrictions in the city may be in effect and subject to enforcement, including Park Board, University of Minnesota and private organizations that operate their own meters. Always read the information posted on the meter or pay station to be certain

Minneapolis police and fire emergency services and 911 are not affected.
