Interim City Coordinator Heather Johnston and City Clerk Casey Carl provided an initial presentation to the Council’s Government Structure Subcommittee about the new Executive Mayor structure.

Following that presentation, Council Members directed the Coordinator and Clerk to prepare an outline, subject to review and approval of the Mayor and Council Leadership, providing clarity and definition about the roles and responsibilities of Mayor and Council and expectations for how the City Administration will engage with and support Council with its official legislative and policymaking, oversight, and representation functions.

The next presentation on government structure is planned for March 22.
