Two sites are now offering easy vaccinations: one at the State fairgrounds for anyone 16 and older and one at the Mall of America focused on 16- and 17-year-olds and their parents.
State fairgrounds vaccination site
Until May 4
Anyone 16 or older can get vaccinated at the State fairgrounds vaccination site with or without an appointment through May 4. You can live in any zip code, and you don’t need to show an ID or have health insurance.
All you have to do is show up, or you can make an appointment for the state fairgrounds site on the Minnesota Department of Health website or call 833-431-2053 for help in multiple languages.
After May 4
After May 4, appointments will be available to Minneapolis residents 16 and older who live in these zip codes: 55404, 55405, 55406, 55407, 55408, 55409, 55411, 55412, 55413, 55414, 55415, 55417, 55418, 55419, 55423, 55430, 55450, 55454 and 55455.
To make an appointment, visit the Minnesota Department of health website or call 833-431-2053. Operators are available 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays in multiple languages and can help make language and ADA accommodations. American Sign Language will be available onsite.
Free, no ID or insurance needed
You don’t have to show government ID, the vaccine is free and health insurance is not required.
Mall of America vaccination site
Through May 1, 16- and 17-year-olds and their parents are prioritized for vaccines at the Mall of America community vaccination site.
Parent or guardian consent
Anyone under 18 must have consent signed by a parent or guardian. Find more information about parental consent on the Minnesota Department of Health website.
