Arrest Made in Robbery Homicide

In the early morning hours of April 28, 2021, officers and detectives from the Minneapolis Police arrested a suspect in the robbery homicide that occurred last night on the 400 block of Cedar Avenue.

Marlow Ramsey Carson, 30, has been booked into the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center on Probable Cause Murder. No further information is available at this time as this investigation remain very active.

At 7 p.m., Tuesday April 27, Minneapolis Police responded to a report of an armed robbery of a business and shooting on the 400 block of Cedar Avenue. 

Officers arrived and located an adult male, believed to be in his 40s, inside the business suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers performed life saving aid and he was transported to Hennepin Healthcare by paramedics. He died a short time after arriving at the hospital.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a male entered the store and attempted to rob it, shooting the victim/clerk before fleeing the scene in a car.

The Crime Lab personnel responded to document the scene and collect evidence. Homicide investigators interviewed people who may have information.

The Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim, along with the nature and cause of death in the days to come.
